Tuesday 31 March 2026 Easter Parade Our primary pupils brought colour, creativity and plenty of smiles as they proudly took part in this year's Easter Parade. The parade was a joyful celebration, with children confidently sharing their work and cheering one another on.A big well done to all our young artists for their effort and creativity—what a wonderful way to celebrate Easter together!

Tuesday 31 March 2026 Easter Bake Off Classes in our Senior and VTU departments hosted a Great Lisanally Bake Off on Tuesday 31st March. Class teams where busy baking and decorating different Easter tray bakes, buns, cupcakes, cakes and biscuits. It was a huge success and enjoyed by all. This year's event was judged by Mrs Scowcroft and Fr. Barry.

Monday 30 March 2026 Disability Sport NI Sports Hall Athletics On Thursday 26th March pupils from key stage 3 and 4 travelled to the South Lakes Leisure centre to take part in Disability Sport NI Sports Hall Athletics. We took part in a number of different running, throwing and teams events narrowly missing out bringing home a medal. Everyone had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed competing against the other schools.

Friday 27 March 2026 Easter Play Day Our primary pupils had a fantastic time during their Easter Play Day, engaging in a range of fun and meaningful activities with strong cross-curricular links. The children fully immersed themselves in the experience, demonstrating enthusiasm, teamwork, and creativity throughout. It was wonderful to see such high levels of engagement, and most importantly, the pupils thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this special day.

Friday 13 March 2026 Literacy Week and World Book Day 2026 Monday 2nd March began a fun-filled week throughout Lisanally as we celebrated Literacy Week and World Book day! To kick start the week, the Armagh Rhymers joined us to tell stories through an interactive song and dance for the whole school, which everyone just loved! On Tuesday and Wednesday, classes took part in related activities on the theme "weather" which included some what's in the box games, whole class stories, science experiments and so much more. On Thursday, we took part in a "Telling a Trail" as we guessed the different stories/books by reading small passages pinned around the school grounds and On Friday, everyone came in dressed as a character from their favourite book. We had some amazing costumes which we showcased at our disco. Well Done to all everyone who took part in a great week!

Tuesday 10 March 2026 Waterbus Some of our Key Stage 2 classes recently explored the NI Waterbus, focusing on the importance of the Water Cycle. We investigated how we clean our water and wastewater and explored the littles things we can all do to look after this precious resource.

Tuesday 24 February 2026 Scholastic Book Fair 2026 We recently showcased Scholastic bookfair in Lisanally. Classes visited the fair and had to opportunity to explore or purchase books. A total of £832.50 was made meaning Lisanally received £416.25 in rewards. A special thank you to all who contributed, this enabled us to purchase brand new books for classrooms, topics and communal areas. We look forward to the return of the bookfair in 2027.

Tuesday 17 February 2026 Pancake Tuesday On Tuesday the 17th of February, we celebrated Shrove Tuesday in style! Classes had great fun colouring in their own pancake designs, and many groups even made delicious pancakes throughout the day. This links closely to Article 14 Every child has the right to think and believe what they want and to practise their religion, as long as they are not stopping other people from enjoying their rights.

Friday 19 December 2025 Staff Christmas Sing Along On the final day of term, our staff came together in festive spirit to sing and announce the winner of the staff raffle, generously donated by the Kerr family. It was a lovely way to celebrate the end of a busy term and share some seasonal cheer. All our staff would like to wish our pupils and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Friday 19 December 2025 Staff Christmas Lunch This year, staff enjoyed their Christmas lunch in smaller groups due to the ongoing school building works. Despite the changes, it was a lovely afternoon and an opportunity to come together, share some festive cheer, and celebrate the Christmas season.

Thursday 18 December 2025 Christmas Play Day 2025 Our primary pupils had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas Play Day. The pupils enjoyed exploring a range of festive, sensory-themed trays designed to spark curiosity and creativity. The activities encouraged hands-on learning through touch, sight and sound, creating a calm and engaging experience for all. It was a joyful day filled with festive fun, smiles and meaningful play. Wednesday 17 December 2025 Navan Walk Charity Donations Our amazing Staff Team completed a sponsored walk/run as part of the Navan Run in October. We were delighted to welcome three incredible local charities and present to each of them a cheque for £1182.38 each to support them in the delivery of their work. Thank you to all those friends and family who sponsored our school team and contributed to their fundraising efforts. The three charities who staff selected this year were: KBRT, Air Ambulance NI & Chest Heart & Stroke NI.

Tuesday 16 December 2025 Food Bank Donation 2025 Thanks to the generous donations of our school community of staff and parents, we delivered over 110kg of donations to Armagh Foodbank. Thank you to all who donated to the collection, which will go local families who will benefit greatly.

Tuesday 16 December 2025 AIC group donation We recently welcomed representatives from AIC Group, who presented the school with an incredibly generous cheque, which will be spent on our pupils in the New Year. We are indebted to them for their continued generosity and support for our school.

Tuesday 16 December 2025 Classy Crafts 2025 Pupils from our Post-16 Young Enterprise company, Classy Crafts getting ready for their recent Craft Fair which was held on Tuesday 9th December. The event was a huge success and the pupils enjoyed the final showcase of their hard work. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend and for your continued support.
