Life Cycles 

Our new topic in Class 10 is on ‘Life Cycles’.

We are looking at the lifecycle of a flowering plant and the different stages of a growing plant and what a flower needs to grow.

A few weeks ago, we planted our own sunflower seeds and the children in Class 10 have been looking after them.

They have been watering them regularly and placing them out in the sun for some sunlight each day.

Some have already started to grow.

Welcome to Class 10!

In our class we have eight fantastic children, 6 boys and 2 girls. The class teacher is Mrs Gilpin and the wonderful classroom assistants are Nicola, Caitlin and Louise. The children have settled really well into Class 10 and are now familiar with our weekly and daily schedule.

We will cover all areas of the Key Stage Two curriculum from Numeracy and Literacy lessons to Art, Home Economics, PE and WAU. All our activities will engage, challenge and meet the children’s individual’s needs.

We have already been busy exploring our new topic ‘Being and Belonging’ and the children have created some beautiful art work of their families.

Some of the most popular activities that we do are art, visits to the library, Attention Autism, Daily Mile, Ball Pool and swimming at the Orchard Swimming Pool. The boys and girls will also have visits to Jo Jingles and Relaxed Kids throughout the school year.

We are looking forward to a full – filled year together and hope you enjoy seeing the learning and fun that is taking place in our class!
